ABOUT SMAR Azure
SMAR Azure was founded in February 2001 by Dr. Sabrina Malpede and Dr. Alessandro Rosiello in order to utilise the award-winning technology developed by Dr.Malpede during her doctorate in 1997. In 2004 Dr.Donald MacVicar joined the company and since then the team has grown substantially allowing the company technology and products to be enhanced constantly.
Our Research and Development team comprises of specialists in aerodynamics and structures: R&D engineers Edward Whipp, Francesco Nasato, Angelo D’Angelo and Alejandro Ivanez, as well as an experienced software developer: Stephen Jordan. SMAR Azure is multilingual and communicates with its partners and customers in English, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Polish and Romanian, making working relations easier and more productive.
Since its inception, SMAR Azure has worked in close relationships with sail and rig designers to produce design software applications tailored to their individual needs. Today, SMAR Azure’s products are considered as the most reliable, robust and user-friendly software for sail and rig design currently available. SMAR Azure currently has a customer base of over 200 users in 28 countries in various segments of the marine industry.
